ENDURANCE

Azziz de Gargassan

Azziz de Gargassan was born in 1988 as our very first arabian horse foal.

Only 3 years later he won the national championship in Pompadour and got sold by the french national stud.

Till 2012 he used to be one of the most demanded stallions for Endurance in France.

All in all he got around 625 foals! He died in 2017 on the stud "élévage milinriant".

I’m very proud of the distinction of Azziz de Gargassan to an elite stallion in endurance. It is an honour to me that he received this title amongst others such as Royal Sadepers, Dijn Lotois, Persicko and Melfik d’Alauze. I’m very happy about this little part of Gargassan in the french breeding history but I do not want to forget that this happened to us thanks to all the breeders who chose Azziz as their stallion and the equestrians of his decendants who prove the quality of his genes.

Lemir de Gargassan

Lemir de Gargassan was born in 1999. His father is Ali Mabrouk (Ali Zafir x Bint Mabrouk by Mabrouk), a stallion with its origin in Egypt, born in the USA in 1990 and passed away in 2004 due to cancer. We bought Ali Mabrouk in 1996 just because of his appearance, he was not without mistakes but he was somehow complementary to our remaining two stallions NA Colt and Vladimir de Falgas.

Lemirs mother, Emira de Gargassan, was born in 1992 on the stud. Amongst him she is the mother to Sheyk, Vizir and Roumba de Gargassan. The father of Emira, NA Colt (Warandes Plakat x Hamira) was born in 1986 in Belgium. He was the first stallion of Gargassan and became vice world champion

already at the age of 2.

NA Colts strengths:  Bone structure, coat but most importantly his movements which, today, is an important characteristic of Gargassan.

His son, Cérès de Lafon, is the foundation stallion of the stud „L’élévage d’endurance de Suleiman“, which is specialised in endurance horses. He has russian and hongrian origins (Babolna, Berceau de Shagya)

The mother of Emira, Durra (Saher x Hamdi by Halef), was born in 1974 in Germany on the national stud of Marbach.

She is one of the three foundation mares of Gargassan. Besides this, she is the mother of Azziz de Gargassan, our first foal.

There is so much heart, try and kindness wrapped up in one little bay Arabian." says Nicole Kent, rider of Hazel
